"Intercultural Education" is a pedagogic approach aimed at fomenting a tolerant and
sensitive attitude to ethnic, cultural and religious differences between individuals.
This study examines how Intercultural Education is provided for in the classrooms of
selected EU countries, including France, Germany, Hungary, Italy and the UK. It
finds that - in spite of the increased diversity of EU societies - political discourse is
becoming less attentive to Intercultural Education in some countries.
